Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock, a non-profit organization founded by the legendary rock star, will be opening in Goodyear. It will be the center’s third Valley location and first in the West Valley.
“I am thrilled to have Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Teen Center join the Goodyear community,” said Mayor Joe Pizzillo. “It’s so unique and something that’s really needed in our city to give teens a safe, fun place to learn and express themselves through the arts.”
The Rock Teen Center inspires teens and young adults (12-20 years old) to grow through music, dance and art. It also offers free vocational training in sound and recording, lighting and staging and video production.
“As an aspiring teenage entertainer that grew up in the West Valley with big rock and roll dreams, we are beyond excited to have our third teen center in Goodyear,” said Alice Cooper. “With the support of the local community, more teens will have a safe space to spend their time, and they can also pursue their dreams with free high quality music, art and dance lessons. Sheryl and I look forward to joining teens in the recording studio, being on stage with teens and in the dance studio at the Goodyear teen center. Thank you to everyone in Goodyear for supporting teens and Solid Rock Teen Centers!”
The previous Goodyear library, on Van Buren Street just west of Litchfield Road, will transform into the rock center and provide teens in the city with more access to the arts. It’s expected to open next year. For more information about Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Teen Centers, visit AliceCooperSolidRock.com.
