PHOENIX — Tomas Gamez-Robles was sentenced in Pima County Superior Court on December 30, 2024, after pleading guilty to multiple felony charges, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced.
Gamez-Robles pled guilty to Attempt to Transport a Narcotic Drug for Sale (class 3 felony), Weapons Misconduct – Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Drug Felony (class 4 felony), and Illegally Conducting an Enterprise (class 3 felony).
Sentencing Details
Gamez-Robles received the following sentences, which will run concurrently:
- 3.5 years in prison for Attempt to Transport a Narcotic Drug for Sale.
- 3.5 years in prison for Illegally Conducting an Enterprise.
- 2.5 years in prison for Weapons Misconduct.
Additionally, he was ordered to pay $4,500 to the State Anti-Racketeering Revolving Fund and to forfeit the firearm involved in the case.
Arrest and Investigation
Gamez-Robles was arrested on March 5, 2024, in Pima County while attempting to transport 1.429 pounds of fentanyl pills for sale. At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of a firearm and 0.128 pounds of methamphetamine, also intended for sale.
Investigators determined that Gamez-Robles was involved in a criminal enterprise, trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine, and heroin to generate profits through racketeering.

Law Enforcement and Prosecution
The Arizona Department of Public Safety conducted the investigation, and Assistant Attorney General Sabrina Lochner prosecuted the case.
