Be a Lifeguard for the City of Peoria

The City of Peoria is hiring Lifeguards for the summer swim season. All applicants must be either StarGuard or American Red Cross Lifeguard Training/First Aid, and CPR/AED certified at the time of the Water Test/Interview. (All City of Peoria Lifeguards must be StarGuard certified once hired. Lifeguards with American Red Cross certifications must take a StarGuard rollover course.)

Lifeguard Application Process:

• Obtain required lifeguard certification by taking a StarGuard Lifeguard class. (sign up for a class: https://www.peoriaaz.gov/government/departments/parks-recreation-and-community-facilities/recreation-programs/aquatics/aquatics-training)
• Apply online at www.peoriaaz.gov/jobs. Certification must be current when you interview at the Water Test.
• All applicants must attend the City of Peoria Water Test/Interview, Saturday, April 27, at 1 pm at Sunrise Pool, 21321 N. 86^th Drive.
• All applicants must bring: Current Lifeguard certification, Government issued photo ID (high school IDs are ok), pocket mask, swimsuit and towel.
