Earlier this year, Alicia Navarro presented herself to law enforcement in Montana after vanishing in 2019; as a result, she has been brought back to Glendale and reunited with her mother.
Over the summer, Navarro, who is 18 now, went to a Montana police station and requested to be taken off the registry of missing individuals.
At the Montana police station, the officers noted that she seemed to be in good health. She was in an upbeat mood and remorseful when they first spoke to her, expressing concern for her mother.
Navarro’s companion in Montana was recently apprehended on charges of child sexual abuse, which were unrelated to Navarro.
This past weekend, Navarro was able to reunite with her mother in Montana. Jessica Nunez expressed her gratitude on Facebook Wednesday morning for the support she had received over the years, and said that “my family is complete now”.
Nunez has declared that “divine intervention can bring about wonders” and is requesting that their personal life remain private.
No criminal charges have been brought against anyone to date in regards to Navarro’s disappearance, according to investigators. The investigation is still in progress.
