New Rescue Unit Added To Vistancia

by Pleasant View

It has been a long time coming and now the residents of Vistancia can be assured additional help is available if needed. The Peoria Fire-Medical Department recently announced the new addition of Rescue 196 unit in Vistancia.

Along with Peoria Mayor Jason Beck in attendance to celebrate the addition, the new addition marks the sixth rescue unit the department has opened in the city of Peoria.

With the growth in the northern part of Peoria, now is the right time to implement a new unit to the area, keeping the city’s residents safe is Peoria Fire-Medical’s top priority. The City of Peoria’s rescue unit is a hybrid unit of a fire truck and ambulance. The crew is capable of fighting fires and providing medical care. The new rescue unit brings the opportunity to provide even a higher-quality service to citizens in that north part of the city.

The city of Peoria Fire-Medical will continue to work to expand and is looking to add three additional rescue units across Peoria in the coming years.
