Phoenix Man Arrested For Killing Parents In Their North Phoenix Home

A man has been charged with the murder of his parents at their residence in north Phoenix on Monday morning.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, at approximately 5:15 a.m., officers were called to a residence in the vicinity of 32nd Street and Bell Road. The caller, identified as Jim Miller, reported that his father had shot and fatally wounded his mother, before taking his own life with the gun.

Upon the arrival of the officers, they discovered that Sam Miller, 73, and Marjorie Valentine, 72, had both succumbed to gunshot wounds.

According to the police, Jim Miller, 38 was apprehended and subsequently admitted to authorities that he had fired his weapon at his parents at some point during the previous night.

Miller was charged with two instances of first-degree murder.

This case is still under investigation and no additional information was released.
