To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, Downtown Peoria will once again host Somos Peoria and this year is an event that you won’t want to miss.
Somos Peoria is a multicultural annual festival that celebrates the city’s Hispanic population with music and food. Headlining the event is three-time Grammy Award-winning band Ozomatli. The city is expecting over 10,000 people in attendance at the event, which should exceed previous year’s celebrations.
“Somos Peoria this is the largest Hispanic Heritage event in the state,” said Bill Moss, arts and culture manager for the city of Peoria. “This is important to us. We want to get started on the right foot in our event season.”
General admissions tickets to the event is available at no cost.
In addition to Ozomatli performing on the main name on the docket, this year, there will be a second performing stage. Also performing will be Color Me Badd and Mariachi Divas.
The city is planning for Somos Peoria to be a great, safe and affordable event for families. All are welcome to come out, enjoy the entertainment, enjoy the food and have great time.
