A man is dead after reportedly drowning at Lake Pleasant over the weekend.
On Sunday afternoon, Peoria Fire Department officials responded to reports of a double drowning involving a man and a boy swimming at the lake. Preliminary details reported that a 25-year-old man and a child were swimming in the lake and had to be pulled out.
Officials pronounced the man dead at the scene. CPR was administered to the child and the boy was taken to a hospital in stable and alert condition.
No further information was released. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what led to this incident.
