Vistancia Car Accident Has Resulted In Two Fatalities and Four Injuries After Car Crashes Into Peoria Home

In the early hours of Sunday, a vehicle collided with a home that was occupied in Peoria, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and multiple injuries.

On April 14, Peoria Police reported that a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a block wall and a residence near 126th Avenue and Garambullo Drive in the Vistancia neighborhood.

Police reports detail there were six individuals present in the vehicle.

Shane Johnson, a resident of Tempe who was 20 years old, passed away on site. Aiden Ellis, who was 19 years old and from Peoria, passed away at the hospital.

According to reports, three individuals are still being treated in the hospital while the sixth person has been discharged.

The name of the driver has not been released by authorities.

There were no injuries reported among the occupants of the house.

On Monday, at the location of the accident, friends and family of Shane and Aiden came together during a memorial gathering to commemorate their lives.

The Peoria Police Department thanks area residents who stopped to help the victims. “Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and everybody who rendered aid during this tragic incident,” the department said.

An investigation is still underway. Speed and impairment have not been ruled out.
