by Pleasant View

Late February, news broke that Amkor had plans to build a $2 billion dollar plant nestled between the community of Vistancia and the Loop 303 on a 320 acre property. The plant is expected to be up and running by 2027, bringing with it 300 full time positions, with another 425 additional jobs by September of 2028. By 2034 Amkor is expected to have a total of 850 employees operating.

Last week, the City of Peoria initiated a webinar for residents to learn more about future development coming to the Vistancia Commercial Core.

City of Peoria Deputy City Manager Mike Faust outlined upcoming retail, restaurant, and employment opportunities.
