Register for Peoria Spring Swim Lessons

by Pleasant View

Every year, an estimated 236,000 people drown. Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for kids 1 to 4 years old, and second leading cause of accidental death for kids ages 5 to 14.

According to CPSC, Arizona led the nation with 14 fatal child pool/spa drownings and the highest number of total fatal child pool/spa drownings of 20 reported fatalities from Memorial Day weekend through August 31, 2022.

The CDC recommends swimming lessons for children. This is the number one way to reduce accidental death by drowning.

The City of Peoria wants to help in the important skill of learning how to swim.
