Tuesday morning, authorities shut down Deer Valley Road between 95th and 98th avenues in Peoria after a collision between a motocycle and an SUV resulted in critical injuries.
According to the Peoria police, the person riding the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital. The driver of the SUV suffered no injuries. The accident occurred near Liberty High School. No reports at the present time if any students were involved in the collision.
Officers reported that the individual operating the SUV stayed at the scene. Deer Valley Road was blocked from 95th to 98th Avenue while detectives investigated the scene, it was back open before 10:30 a.m.
