On February 23 – 26 and March 1 – 4, from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday each week, City of Peoria Streets Division and its contractor will mill (remove) the top layer of asphalt and apply an asphalt pavement overlay to Olive Avenue, between 99th Avenue and the Loop 101. This work was originally scheduled over the weekends of February 2 – 5 and February 9 – 12; however, it was rescheduled due to inclement weather.
There will be temporary lane restrictions throughout the project area; however, at least one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction on Olive Avenue. Access will be maintained to the extent possible, but there may be brief restrictions as work crosses driveways and side streets. Additional project details are being provided to impacted residents and businesses along this corridor.
Construction is taking place over weekends during day and night hours. This project is expected to be complete in mid-March, weather permitting.
