Glendale To Celebrate 30 Years Of Glendale Glitters This Year

by Pleasant View

Glendale Glitters has been a special festive event that has been part of the west valley for 30 years now. Glendale will glitter once again this year, kicking off the fun on Friday, Nov. 24 with a tree-lighting ceremony at the Glendale Civic Center. The illumination will remain in effect until the New Year.

Glendale Glitters brings a sense of enchantment to the city, while also bringing joy and cheer to those who attend. If you plan to be part of the holiday spirit, here is what you need to know.

The holiday event will begin with the annual tree lighting ceremony on November 24th at 5:45 p.m. The community is invited to come out for the free event.

Attendance to Glendale Glitters is free of charge, including to its special occasions such as live musical and other entertainment, Movies by Moonlight, and the yearly Christmas parade. If you can’t make it to the tree lighting, the event will be taking from 5 to 10 p.m. each night from November 24 through January 1.

The entire event encompasses the entirety of Murphy Park in Glendale, at the crossroads of 58th and Glendale avenues. Parking is available around downtown Glendale on the streets or designated parking structures or lots.

“I’m thrilled Glendale Glitters is approaching and the community can enjoy how it transforms our city into a magical wonderland, bringing joy and warmth to all who attend,” said Glendale City Councilmember Jamie Aldama from the Ocotillo District. “This event captures the spirit of the holidays and radiates positivity and goodwill.”
