Plans for The Trailhead, located at the corner of 83rd Avenue and Happy Valley Road have been announced.
The mixed-use development will feature a $65 million shopping center anchored by Safeway. The center will also include sit down restaurants, a 350 multi-family unit complex and a new church.
Only a few restaurants have been confirmed to be tenants. The first to be announced are Tacos & Craft. This bran offers scratch-made tacos and craft beer. The second restaurant going in the center is the Sparrow which is a new American-themed concept from the creators of Squid Ink.
On Wednesday, Peoria Mayor Jason Beck, Vice-Mayor Jon Edwards, Mayor Pro-Tem Jennifer Crawford, Councilmember Brad Shafter participated in a groundbreaking celebration with executives from the Pederson Group who is the developer of the new center.
